Manufacturing Engineer (Mechanical)CambridgeIf you are the kind of engineer who enjoys improving how things are made, not just maintaining what is already there, this could be a really interesting opportunity for you.This is a chance to join a newly formed Production Engineering team working on advanced products, in a role where you can make a genuine impact. You will be involved in bringing new products into manufacture, improving build processes, supporting production challenges and helping shape a more efficient, scalable manufacturing environment.It would suit a mechanically minded engineer who enjoys hands-on problem solving, process improvement and being close to the detail of how things are built.What you will be doing:New product introductionManufacturing and assembly process improvementTooling, jigs and fixture design & developmentProduction support and issue resolutionBuild documentation and work instructionsCross-functional working with engineering, quality and operationsRequired skills and experience:Experience in Manufacturing Engineering, Production Engineering, or a similar mechanically focused roleMechanical Engineering qualification, or equivalent practical experienceCAD experience, ideally SolidWorksStrong understanding of manufacturing methods including machining, sheet metal, injection moulding and assemblyExperience designing jigs, fixtures, tooling or mechanical test equipmentHands-on problem-solving abilityAble to work effectively & collaboratively across engineering and production teamsDesirable experience:NPI / product transfer into manufactureDFM / DFAComplex engineered productsEngineering change / quality process exposureWhat can you expect in return:Competitive salary + benefits (happy to discuss)If you are looking for a role where you can add value, improve processes and be part of a team shaping how products move into manufacture, I would be keen to hear from you.
