About the Role
Job Description: Under the direction of designated staff, provides assistance to the department in various aspects to support the work of the department and the mission and goals of Essentia Health. Provides assistance on various projects within hired department. Education Qualifications: Are you a high school student with an interest in healthcare who is looking for an opportunity to learn and grow over the summer? This internship is a rotational program which will offer you the chance to explore healthcare careers including: Environmental Services Nutrition Security and Maintenance Registration Administration and Operations Other areas of interest You may be a good fit if you: Are a junior or senior level student in high school (or a freshman or sophomore in college) local to Ada Have a strong interest in healthcare and want to learn more about what careers are available in healthcare Have a passion for helping others Are self motivated and want to spend the summer learning from healthcare professionals and growing your professional skills Summer Health Care Internship Program (SHCIP) Requirements: Must have completed your junior or senior year of high school in Minnesota and intend to complete graduation requirements. -OR- You must be a post-secondary student enrolled in a Minnesota educational institution or be a resident of Minnesota enrolled in an out-of-state program. Post-secondary students must be enrolled in a two or four year health care degree program with the intention of completing the program. Licensure/Certification Qualifications: No certification/licensure required.
