Our client, a nationwide recycling manufacturer, has an immediate need for an experienced Material Handler, to join their growing team in South Holland.
Our candidate of choice will be responsible for varied daily tasks such as restocking shelves, accepting incoming orders, distributing inventory to designated areas, processing and packing orders, counting inventory, and ensuring orders are shipped in a timely manner.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
- Unload deliveries from trucks.
- Receive and sign-for deliveries.
- Compare purchase orders with packaging lists on all incoming packages.
- Inspect deliveries to ensure items match the order.
- Processing returns for incorrect or unsatisfactory items.
- Organize and store received items in appropriate areas.
- Update inventory and Bill of Materials with received items.
- Maintain records of orders, delivery details, etc.
- Record order details on the computer system.
- Pull all parts on Sales Order from stock or add to computer system shortage list.
- Pack items into containers, i.e. small packages or pallets, for shipping.
- Label package with all vital information.
- Schedule shipment pickups via UPS, Fedex, or approved Freight Carrier.
- Monitor inventory and order more units as needed.
- Keep the warehouse clean and neat.
- Forklift experience highly recommended.
KEY REQUIREMENTS:
- High school diploma or general education degree (GED); or relative experience and/or training for job classification.
- Positive attitude, self-starter and motivated.
- Computer skills including basic word, excel spreadsheets and email with the ability to learn Maren internal software for parts and Bills of Materials.
- Provide high quality workmanship through neatness, organization, & attention to detail.
- Possess good communication skills & an ability to adapt to changing situations.
- Use time management skills to meet deadlines without sacrificing quality of work.
