About the Role
We are seeking a highly experienced, proactive and knowledgeable Live-Out Housekeeper to take responsibility for the care and upkeep of our clients beautiful four-bedroom residence in Stamford, Lincolnshire. The property comprises a main house with reception rooms, an office and guest accommodation, alongside a self-contained two-bedroom annex. The home features extensive natural stone, marble, delicate windows and antique finishes, requiring a Housekeeper with a strong understanding of specialist cleaning techniques and appropriate product use. This is a newly created position and the principals are looking for someone who can take genuine ownership of the housekeeping function, working independently and advising on the level of support and hours required to maintain the property to an exceptional standard over the long term. The clients are happy to work collaboratively with the successful candidate to establish the most effective weekly schedule and structure for the role. Responsibilities Full housekeeping and cleaning of the property to exceptionally high standards Specialist care of natural stone, marble, delicate windows, antique finishes and other fine materials Using appropriate products and methods, with a preference for avoiding harsh chemicals wherever possible Laundry and ironing, including changing and caring for bed linen Maintaining the organisation, presentation and overall appearance of the home Managing housekeeping schedules across the main residence and annex Carrying out occasional deep-cleaning tasks Undertaking light household errands as required Monitoring household systems and reporting any issues requiring attention Providing proactive oversight of the property and identifying areas requiring maintenance or additional care The Ideal Candidate Extensive private-household housekeeping experience Excellent attention to detail and exceptionally high standards Strong knowledge of specialist cleaning techniques and products Experience caring for older properties, delicate finishes and high-end materials The confidence to work independently and use initiative Excellent organisational skills and a proactive approach A discreet, reliable and professional manner A genuine interest in the long-term care and upkeep of a private home A dog-friendly attitude, as the household has a pet dog Hours: Approximately 30–40 hours per week pro rata, Monday–Friday Salary: £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience Start: ASAP
