About the Role
Overview Insight Global is seeking a corporate athlete who will transform the tools and processes around pricing and project financials to achieve our strategic growth goals. The Commercial Finance Manager will identify and drive transformative initiatives to completion. They will ensure successful outcomes by establishing requirements, managing projects, and facilitating enterprise change management when required. Success is delivering fulsome fit-for-purpose solutions, which could include new software tools, processes, or policies. This is a high visibility role requiring functional knowledge of pricing, project controls, and project accounting. It will require the development and delivery of presentations, status updates, and analyses to C-suite stakeholders and Divisional Presidents along with extensive cross-functional collaboration. Successful candidates will be motivated self-starters who can operate independently and manage through ambiguity. They must be organized and have demonstrated boundaryless “first principles” big-picture thinking across multiple systems and processes. Strong ability to simplify complex problems and communicate impacts and outcomes up the chain is critical. This role will have direct reports, and candidates must demonstrate their ability to mentor, coach, and develop individuals under their care. This role is based in our Atlanta, GA office. Responsibilities o Mentor and develop staff. o Analyze process and execute improvements that increase profitability, reduce risk, and reduce waste/increase throughput. o Own the development and implementation of scalable, sustainable, and stable pricing tools and processes with the explicit goal of improving gross margin o Build and manage project plans and timelines, and provide report outs to management o Communicate status updates and decisions to key Finance stakeholders and business partners o Define detailed finance and business requirements for identified initiatives o Weigh pros and cons of project design elements against the best interest of stakeholders and the business, then recommend a decision o Serve as the primary business stakeholder and partner with IT and Accounting to implement project accounting overhaul o Determine appropriate project representation, identify cross-functional contingencies and drive cross-functional solutions to ensure successful outcomes and smooth transitions o Design and lead UAT, initiate training programs, and generally ensure appropriate change management when required o Report progress and escalate issues and challenges when appropriate o Identify new areas of improvement and drive solutions Qualifications o Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a technical field. o A minimum 7 years of experience in a Finance, Commercial Finance, Project Management, or Consulting role o Strong knowledge of financial statements and working knowledge of project accounting rules and best practices o Advanced knowledge of Excel and PowerPoint required, Power BI a plus o Experience in professional services or consulting a plus
