About the Role
TIG Welder II is responsible for welding and fabricating heat recovery and steam-generating equipment in accordance with industry codes, safety standards, and customer specifications. This role requires strong technical welding skills, attention to detail, and the ability to work from complex blueprints and procedures.
Perform TIG welding on code and non-code materials; additional processes (FCAW, SMAW, SAW) are a plus
Interpret and work from blueprints, technical drawings, weld symbols, and specifications
Set up and prepare weldments for fabrication and assembly
Operate hand and power tools such as grinders, bevelers, and buffers
Execute flame cutting using manual and automated equipment
Support maintenance team with small fabrication or repair tasks as needed
Assist production as needed
Skills and Experience
High school diploma or GED required; technical welding certification or degree a plus; code work
Demonstrated TIG welding experience
Ability to read and interpret complex fabrication drawings
Capable of passing an ASME 6G pipe weld test (except Sub-Arc process)
