CAFCASS is seeking a committed professional to join our team in London as a Family Court Advisor (FCA) within the Working with Families at Home (WAFH) framework. This role is pivotal in ensuring the safety and well-being of children involved in family court proceedings, and you will play a crucial part in advocating for their best interests.
As a Family Court Advisor, your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting comprehensive assessments of children and families to inform court decisions.
Preparing detailed reports for court hearings, ensuring clarity and accuracy in presenting findings.
Engaging with families, children, and other professionals to facilitate effective communication and understanding.
Providing expert advice and support to judges and legal representatives on matters concerning child welfare.
Working collaboratively with multidisciplinary teams to implement safeguarding measures and support plans.
To be considered for this role, you must possess the following essential qualifications and skills:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
Registration with Social Work England or equivalent.
Proven experience in child protection and family law settings.
Strong analytical skills with the ability to write clear, concise reports.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with a focus on building rapport with families.
