About the Role

We are a renowned provider of M&A services to the freight forwarding and logistics industry (Freight Mergers). We remain a privately owned organisation with a Bristol head office but we have a global client base across Europe, USA, Asia and the Middle East.

The opportunity

As an M&A Advisor in the UK freight team, the purpose of the role is to research, qualify and develop a warm pipeline for the Senior M&A Advisors. This will be with a focus on developing and growing our client base.

The M&A Advisor will be responsible for introducing our company and conducting initial dialogue to educate business owners in our services and expertise that can aid them with either the purchase or disposal of a business.

The responsibilities

  • Ensure that records in the CRM system are valid and up to date
  • Qualify new client opportunities with initial dialogue to confirm a business requirement
  • Data cleansing
  • Research new leads and develop new or existing opportunities
  • Research additional information on leads (business ownership etc
  • Generate client meeting for the sales team through cold calling
  • Overcoming clients questions / objectives ahead of an appointment
  • Support sales team with research and meeting preparation
  • Understand and verbalise the business value proposition
  • Maintain a professional office, phone and sales manner
  • Meet and strive to beat specific KPIs and targets

The requirements

  • Degree or equivalent industry experience
  • 18 months’ experience in B2B/B2C sales (logistics knowledge not necessary)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Effective time management, planning and organisational skills
  • Professional and articulate conversational manner
  • Ability to understand new concepts in a fast-paced team environment
  • Take ownership of individual sales pipeline
  • CRM experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Office suite
