About the Role

Sirius Staffing is seeking a Microsoft 365 Engineer. This role is responsible for the administration, security, governance, and optimization of the organization's MS 365 environment, including Exchange, Teams, SharePoint, OneDrive, Entra ID, MS Copilot, and related technologies. Will serve as the SME for MS 365 technologies, supporting operational excellence through automation and continuous improvement initiatives. MINIMUM REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS Bachelor's degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field preferred; or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience. Minimum three (3) years of experience administering and supporting Microsoft 365 environments in an enterprise setting, including Exchange Online, Microsoft Teams, SharePoint Online, OneDrive for Business, and Microsoft Entra ID.Experience supporting Active Directory, Exchange Hybrid environments, Microsoft 365 security and compliance solutions, identity and access management, licensing administration, and PowerShell automation is preferred.MUST BE ELIGIBLE TO WORK FOR ANY US EMPLOYER WITHOUT SPONSORSHIP NOW AND/OR IN THE FUTURE. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONSManage enterprise messaging environments, including Exchange Server (hybrid and cloud), mail flow, mailbox administration, migrations, upgrades, and disaster recovery activities.Administer Active Directory and Microsoft Entra ID, including user lifecycle management, group administration, identity synchronization, authentication, and access governance.Design and maintain security controls including Conditional Access, Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA), Single Sign-On (SSO), Privileged Identity Management (PIM), Role-Based Access Control (RBAC), and Zero Trust practices. Configure and maintain Microsoft 365 security, compliance, retention, governance, and data protection policies.Administer Microsoft licensing across Microsoft 365 and related cloud services, including license assignment, utilization tracking, optimization, and compliance reporting.Support deployment, administration, governance, and adoption of Microsoft Copilot solutions, Copilot Studio, agents, and AI-enabled productivity tools.Develop and maintain PowerShell and Microsoft Graph automation solutions to improve operational efficiency, reporting, and administration.Monitor system health, performance, capacity, and security across Microsoft platforms, performing proactive maintenance and issue resolution.Serve as an escalation resource for complex Microsoft 365, Exchange, identity, and collaboration platform issues. Support enterprise projects including migrations, tenant consolidations, acquisitions, modernization initiatives, and platform enhancements. Create and maintain technical documentation, operational procedures, architectural standards, and disaster recovery plans.Collaborate with business and IT stakeholders to deliver secure, scalable, and reliable collaboration, messaging, identity, and AI solutions.Perform all other duties as assigned.     ESSENTIAL COMPETENCIESMust possess a strong understanding of Microsoft 365 administration, cloud service availability, identity management, security, and operational best practices.Must demonstrate the ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex Microsoft 365, Exchange, Active Directory, Entra ID, and collaboration platform issues while implementing sustainable solutions and process improvements.Must maintain a strong focus on governance, documentation, operational procedures, and change management to ensure consistency, security, and compliance.Must possess excellent communication and collaboration skills with IT teams, business stakeholders, vendors, and external partners.Must be able to communicate complex technical concepts and recommendations clearly to technical and non-technical audiences.Must demonstrate the ability to manage multiple priorities, support critical initiatives, and respond effectively to operational issues in a fast-paced environment.Must exhibit a customer-focused mindset and commitment to delivering reliable, secure, and high-quality collaboration and productivity services.Must maintain professionalism, integrity, discretion, and confidentiality when handling sensitive business and technical information.Must be committed to continuous learning and staying current with Microsoft 365 complex technical concepts, issues, risks, and recommendations effectively to employees, business stakeholders, management, vendors, and external partners.Ability to respond professionally and effectively to inquiries, service issues, and requests while maintaining a high level of customer service and technical expertise.Ability to facilitate meetings, deliver presentations, and provide training or guidance to individuals and groups regarding Microsoft 365 technologies, security practices, and operational processes. PHYSICAL DEMANDS The physical demands described here are
