About the Role
As an Electrical Distribution Project Engineer, you will have the opportunity to:<br />
- Lead and deliver electrical distribution projects (up to 34.5kV) from design through execution<br />
- Serve as a technical expert while guiding and mentoring junior engineers<br />
- Own project success by managing scope, budget, schedule, and quality across multi-discipline teams<br />
- Partner directly with clients to develop solutions, present designs, and drive project outcomes<br />
- Play a key role in shaping project strategy, improving processes, and supporting business growth<br />

<strong>Key Responsibilities<br />
<br />
Project Execution:</strong><br />
- Prepare engineering deliverables for multiple projects<br />
- Conduct research to develop equipment and material recommendations<br />
- Manage data and perform complex engineering calculations<br />
- Develop and manage project budgets, schedules, and quality requirements across multiple disciplines<br />
- Lead larger production teams, coordinate multiple discipline activities, and serve as the responsible charge for a project<br />

<strong>Quality/Continuous Improvement:</strong><br />
- Consistently and independently apply knowledge and comply with quality program requirements<br />
- Ensure compliance through internal QA technical reviews<br />
- Provide guidance and direction to team members<br />
- Support continuous improvement and change management efforts<br />
<br />
<strong>Client Focus:</strong><br />
- Interface directly with clients, vendors, and subcontractors<br />
- Identify key client interests and drivers for projects<br />
- Communicate concerns to project team members and develop solutions<br />
- Provide support for business development activities<br />
- Manage project changes directly with the client under Project Manager supervision<br />
<br />
<strong>Engineering Production:</strong><br />
- Prepare a variety of complex engineering deliverables<br />
- Lead large multi-discipline teams to meet project deliverables<br />
- Provide technical leadership for Distribution Line projects<br />
<br />
<strong>Preferred Qualifications:</strong><br />
- Experience managing engineering design services for overhead and underground distribution line projects for investor-owned utilities in the United States<br />
- Experience in design of overhead and underground distribution projects (4kV-34.5kV)<br />
- Strong communication skills and interest in client relationship development<br />
- Advanced knowledge of engineering design principles, NESC and NEC standards<br />
- Working knowledge of interdisciplinary project coordination: procurement, subcontract administration, permitting, real estate/land acquisition, and construction support<br />
- Working knowledge of the proposal process and developing engineering estimates<br />
<br />
<strong>Minimum Qualifications:</strong><br />
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering from an accredited program<br />
- Minimum 5 years of related work experience<br />
- Active P.E. license required<br />
- Must serve as single disciplinary lead for electrical distribution design<br />
- Experience with utility clients required<br />
- Full project life cycle experience as a Project Engineer required<br />
- Must be able to complete pre-employment onboarding (background check, drug screen, MVR search)<br />

<strong>Compensation:</strong><br />
Base Salary - USD $100,000 to $140,000
