<h2><strong>Mechatronic & Software Service Technician</strong></h2>
<p>We are in need of an experienced <strong>Mechatronic & Software Service Technician</strong> to offer expert technical support for industrial machinery already in use. In this role, you will closely collaborate with the Service Manager and work with Field Technicians, Production, R&D, and Back Office teams to address technical issues, provide quotes, and assess technical aspects.</p>
<p>This position involves <strong>on‑site technical interventions</strong> and <strong>remote support</strong> from within our facilities. The ideal candidate should be based in Teterboro, NJ, although locations in South Bend, Indiana, or Mishawaka, Indiana areas may also be considered.</p>

<h3><strong>On‑Site Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Carry out technical services on machinery, covering electrical, electronic, mechanical, and control software diagnostics.</li>
<li>Ensure machines perform optimally and meet customer satisfaction levels.</li>
<li>Be prepared to travel domestically and internationally as needed (up to 40% of the time).</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>In‑House Responsibilities</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Handle requests for equipment modifications and customizations.</li>
<li>Act as the main technical contact for customers experiencing issues.</li>
<li>Offer remote troubleshooting and assistance.</li>

<h2><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h2>
<h3><strong>Technical Support & Troubleshooting</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Diagnose and solve problems related to mechanical, electrical, electronic, and software systems.</li>
<li>Provide assistance both remotely and on‑site.</li>
<li>Prepare technical reports and documentation.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Software Configuration & Customization</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Configure and update PLC, HMI, SCADA, and other control systems.</li>
<li>Install software patches and updates.</li>
<li>Customize PLC logic and HMI interfaces based on client requirements.</li>
<li>Collaborate with internal software teams on adding new features and improving functionality.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Documentation & Training</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Create technical manuals, operation guides, and intervention reports.</li>
<li>Deliver training to customers on system operation and maintenance.</li>
<li>Maintain internal documentation, including schematics, software versions, and configuration files.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Continuous Improvement & Collaboration</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Collect customer feedback and propose enhancements to products or processes.</li>
<li>Identify recurring technical problems and suggest solutions.</li>
<li>Participate in internal technical meetings, workshops, and improvement projects.</li>
</ul>
<h3><strong>Installation & Commissioning</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Set up, test, and commission mechatronic machines at client sites.</li>
</ul>

<h2><strong>Education & Language Requirements</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Technical diploma or degree in Mechatronics, Automation, Electronics, or related fields.</li>
<li>English fluency at B1/B2 level or above.</li>
</ul>
<hr>
<h2><strong>Profile & Necessary Skills</strong></h2>
<ul>
<li>Thorough knowledge of mechatronic systems and industrial automation.</li>
<li>Experience working with PLCs and related hardware (Siemens is a must; familiarity with Rockwell, Beckhoff, or similar is a plus).</li>
<li>Proficient in HMI interfaces.</li>
<li>Ability to interpret electrical schematics and mechanical drawings.</li>
<li>Familiarity with industrial programming languages like Ladder Diagram—LD, Structured Control Language—SCL.</li>
<li>Strong grasp of Windows/Linux systems and industrial networks.</li>
<li>Great problem‑solving skills and customer‑oriented outlook.</li>
<li>Capability to work autonomously and in a team setting.</li>
