Highways Engineer

<p><strong>Highways Engineer  needed in Doncaster Paying  £45 per hr ref 000B 03B1 / 1</strong></p> <p><strong>Full time hours on a temporary basis</strong></p> </p> <p><strong><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></strong></p> <ul> <li>Act as project/programme manager for highway maintenance and improvement schemes</li> <li>Supervise and provide technical oversight to Clerks of Works and site-based staff</li> <li>Plan and deliver works programmes, ensuring projects are completed on time, within budget, and to specification</li> <li>Apply strong engineering judgement to make informed technical decisions on design, materials, and delivery methods</li> <li>Undertake and oversee site inspections, condition assessments, and feasibility studies</li> <li>Promote and implement preventative maintenance techniques to extend asset life and reduce long-term costs</li> <li>Monitor contractor performance and ensure compliance with health &amp; safety, CDM regulations, and industry standards</li> <li>Prepare and review technical specifications, cost estimates, and reports</li> <li>Liaise with contractors, stakeholders, and internal teams to resolve issues and ensure smooth project delivery</li> <li>Identify risks and implement solutions to maintain programme delivery</li> </ul> <p> </p> <p> If you are interested in the role, please email your CV to verity@essentialemploy.co.uk quoting the reference number. </p> <p>Essential Employment is acting as an Employment Business in relation to this vacancy.
