GSI Helmholtzzentrum für Schwerionenforschung in Darmstadt operates one of the leading particle accelerators for science. Currently, the new FAIR (Facility for Antiproton and Ion Research) one of the world's largest research projects, will be built in international cooperation. The international NUSTAR (NUclear STructure, Astrophysics and Reactions) collaboration comprises more than 700 engaged scientists (all genders) from over 170 participating institutions worldwide. NUSTAR experiments are ongoing in the FAIR Phase-0 research program, and will be the first to be carried out at the new Superconducting-FRagment Separator (Super-FRS) facility at FAIR in the coming years.
