About the Role
About the role: Justteachers are looking for a Teaching Assistant to join a pioneering SEND primary school in Oldham for a long term placement starting in September. Join a dedicated team at an specialist school, supporting children aged 4–11 with diverse SEND needs. The role is to help create an inclusive, empowering learning environment where every child can thrive. Key Responsibilities: Deliver tailored support to students with additional needs within a dedicated provision setting. Assist in implementing Individual Education Plans (IEPs) and effective behaviour strategies. Drive a positive and inclusive learning environment. Collaborate closely with teachers and the SENCO to provide targeted interventions. Offer consistent support for students’ social, emotional, and sensory needs throughout the school day. Pre-requisites: Experience working with children in a SEND or intervention-based role. Strong knowledge and understanding of SEND strategies and inclusive practice. A calm, consistent and encouraging approach. Two or more education based references within the last 2 years.
