<span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3"><p><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3"><strong style="">$80,000 / Annual (negotiable) + relocation bonus </strong></font></span></p><p><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3"><strong style="">SUMMARY:</strong><br style="">At CoreCivic, our mental health teams make lasting changes in the lives of offenders, as we set the standards of care in the industry.</font></span></p><p><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">The <strong>Licensed Mental Health Clinician</strong> plans professional mental health service programs of a non-medical nature in the facility. Coordinates and directs activities of personnel engaged in providing mental health services to inmates/residents.<br style=""><strong style=""><br style="">ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:</strong></font></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">The incumbent should be able to perform all of the following functions at a pace and level of performance consistent with the job performance requirements. Any additional qualifications and/or essential job functions applicable for specific facility locations or post assignments will be contained in Appendix A.<br style=""></font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Conducts mental health screenings and assessments based on review of available records, and clinical interviews with inmates including rounds in segregation or other confined housing areas to assess inmate adjustment and mental health treatment needs.</font></span></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Provides treatment to inmates by developing, implementing, and modifying individual multidisciplinary treatment plans in coordination with other clinical and interdepartmental staff, mandating a thorough knowledge of psychological counseling theory and techniques by way of treatments and activities used for individuals in caseload.</span><br style="">Documents treatment and evaluation activities in the health care record for each person seen.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Supervises staff in the performance of their duties and evaluates as prescribed by company policy. This includes training new employees, evaluating performance and preparing written performance reviews, listening to concerns and effectively resolving disputes or issues, taking corrective or disciplinary action, and developing work schedules for staff.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Consults with and makes appropriate recommendations to multidisciplinary staff (e.g., security staff, unit staff, facility management) regarding behavior and mental health issues affecting inmates to include conflict avoidance strategy/ intervention.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Evaluates and advocates for inmates involved in disciplinary or due process events in a way that is consistent with policy, contract requirements, and applicable accreditation standards.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Administers mental status exams or uses other psychological tests and instruments as necessary to evaluate inmates’ treatment, adjustment, and placement needs.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Serves as a member of the institution Segregation Review panel and Special Needs Treatment Plan committee during regularly scheduled meetings.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Engages in community reentry services through discharge planning and communicating with others about service needs for releasing inmates who are seriously mentally ill.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Maintains and monitors confidentiality of inmates/residents and their files. Audits files to determine that all services provided are documented. Reviews status of inmates/residents to verify that all treatment and therapeutic programs are completed.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Coordinates professional services provided by contract personnel, if applicable and provides for their needs to be addressed.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Utilizes established corporate, facility and correctional policies and procedures in making decisions, but performs with a high degree of independence and professional administrative skill and uses sound independent judgment in meeting responsibilities and performing the duties of the position.</span></font></li><li><font size="3"><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">Screens requests for non-medical records and approves/disapproves responses as appropriate following pol</span><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";">icy and procedures.</span></font></li></ul><ul><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Cooperates and coordinates with the facility training manager for the delivery of required staff training programs. Ensures that each subordinate employee supervised receives training.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Performs rescue functions at accidents, emergencies and disasters to include administering basic emergency medical aid, physically removing people away from dangerous situations, and securing and evacuating people from confined areas.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Domestic U.S. travel may be required.</font></span></li></ul><br><br><p><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3"><strong>QUALIFICATIONS:</strong></font></span></p><ul><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Graduate from an accredited college or university with a master's degree in social work, psychology, mental health counseling or in a related clinical field. </font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Two years clinical experience which includes one year in a comparable job position required. </font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Pre-licensure training experience applies toward the required experience.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Must possess a current, unrestricted license to practice in the state where practice occurs. </font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">A valid driver's license is preferred, unless required by contract or applicable statute.</font></span></li><li><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3">Minimum age requirement: Must be at least 21 years of age.</font></span></li></ul><p><span style="font-family: "Times New Roman";"><font size="3"><em>CoreCivic is a Drug-Free Workplace & EOE including Disability/Veteran.</em></font></span></p></font></span>
