<h3><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></h3>

<li>Install, commission, and calibrate automated laboratory and robotic systems at customer sites</li>
<li>Diagnose, troubleshoot, and repair hardware across a range of advanced automation platforms</li>
<li>Respond to customer issues, providing effective triage and technical resolution</li>
<li>Work closely with software/automation specialists to deliver full system support</li>
<li>Perform system upgrades, relocations, and preventative maintenance activities</li>
<li>Deliver user training on equipment operation and basic software functionality</li>
<li>Maintain accurate service documentation, reports, and case records</li>
<li>Build strong customer relationships through proactive communication and support</li>
<li>Manage spare parts inventory and ensure readiness for field service activities</li>
<li>Contribute to continuous improvement through knowledge sharing and documentation</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Senior-Level Responsibilities </strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Mentor and support junior engineers in the field</li>
<li>Lead complex troubleshooting and escalations</li>
<li>Deliver technical training sessions and contribute to training development</li>
<li>Engage in customer review meetings and long-term account support</li>
<li>Support cross-functional projects and continuous improvement initiatives</li>
</ul>

<h3><strong>Skills & Experience Required</strong></h3>
<ul>
<li>Minimum HNC (or equivalent) in Mechanical, Electrical, or related Engineering discipline</li>
<li>Proven experience in a field service or customer-facing engineering role</li>
<li>Background in <strong>laboratory automation, robotics, or scientific instrumentation</strong> highly desirable</li>
<li>Strong fault-finding skills across mechanical, electrical, and system-level issues</li>
<li>Knowledge of communications protocols (e.g. TCP/IP, RS232) advantageous</li>
<li>Excellent communication skills—able to engage both technical and non-technical stakeholders</li>
<li>Highly organised, self-motivated, and capable of working independently in the field</li>
<li>Strong customer service mindset with a professional approach</li>
</ul>
