Location: Lynchburg, VA Job Type: Full-Time, Permanent Schedule: 40 hours per week Job Description Harco is seeking a reliable and detail-oriented Shipping & Receiving Clerk to support our warehouse and distribution operations in Lynchburg, VA. In this role, you will be responsible for the accurate and timely receipt, storage, and shipment of materials and finished products. Your work will directly support inventory accuracy, on-time order fulfillment, operational efficiency, and customer satisfaction. This position is ideal for someone who enjoys hands-on work, takes pride in organization and accuracy, and can manage daily priorities in a fast-paced warehouse environment. Key Responsibilities The Shipping & Receiving Clerk supports daily warehouse operations through accurate shipping, receiving, inventory handling, and material movement. Key responsibilities include: Safely operate powered industrial equipment (forklift, reach truck, order selector) after completing required training and certification Receive, unload, verify, label, and store incoming materials; report any discrepancies or damage Accurately pick, process, and transfer sales, work, and transfer orders using RF scanning equipment Prepare, pack, and stage orders for outbound shipment, including UPS and LTL freight (with supervision as needed) Load outbound trucks safely and efficiently to meet shipping schedules Maintain inventory accuracy through proper handling, documentation, and participation in physical inventory counts Keep shipping, receiving, and warehouse areas clean, organized, and compliant with safety standards Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements Manage daily workload independently while collaborating effectively with the team Support process improvements and assist in other warehouse or operational areas as needed Qualifications & Experience High School Diploma or equivalent 1–3 years of experience using RF scanners and warehouse management systems At least 1 year of experience safely operating powered industrial trucks Ability to follow written and verbal instructions with strong attention to detail Ability to lift, push, pull, and move materials as required in a warehouse setting Strong organizational skills and a positive, team‑oriented attitude Compensation & Benefits Pay Range: 21.71 USD$/Hr Competitive benefits package and other company benefits (details provided during the hiring process) Harco is an Equal Opportunity Employer.
