Shift pattern: Monday, Friday, Saturday, Sunday (08.00-20.00)
We are looking for a compassionate and resilient Support Worker to join our Accident & Emergency (A&E) team, providing 1:1 support to individuals presenting with mental health needs. You will play a key role in supporting patients during times of crisis while helping maintain a safe and supportive environment.
Key Responsibilities:
Provide continuous 1:1 observation and support for patients with mental health needs. Offer reassurance and de-escalation during distress. Work closely with A&E staff and mental health teams to ensure patient safety and dignity. Monitor and report changes in behaviour. Support the management of challenging situations in a calm, professional manner while following safeguarding procedures.
About You:
Experience in mental health, healthcare, or social care is desirable. You should have strong communication skills, the ability to stay calm under pressure, and a caring, non-judgemental approach. Flexibility to work shifts, including nights and weekends, is essential.
