Have you considered training in Low Intensity Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) and getting paid to make a real difference?
If so, our Trainee Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner programme could be the role for you!
Here at Vita Health Group, we support each of our trainees to become confident, patient-focused clinicians. We work with you to develop your clinical skills throughout your course, celebrating your successes and encouraging your professional development.
Getting to know Us
We are looking for pioneering, skilled clinicians to join us on this exciting journey and play a central role in shaping the delivery of NHS Talking Therapies across Nottinghamshire.
The Role
We are looking for aspiring Psychological Wellbeing Practitioners (PWPs) to join our Nottinghamshire Talking Therapies service as Trainee PWPs in the September 2026 cohort at the University of Lincoln.
In this role, you will provide Low Intensity CBT-based interventions whilst undertaking the PGCert Psychological Wellbeing Practitioner delivered by the University of Lincoln commencing in September 2026. This training post will equip you with the skills and knowledge to provide evidence-based treatment to clients with a range of common mental health problems such as anxiety and depression.
You will be joining a motivated team of mental health professionals and experienced supervisors, who will support you to complete both your academic study and your clinical delivery.
A typical working week includes 4 days of clinical practice with the service and 1 day attending university. University days will consist of face to face training so you must be able to attend in person each week.
Whilst your clinical practice is likely to include some remote working, you will be required to attend one of the Nottingham offices for part of the week.
Getting to know you
The University of Lincoln offers two levels of academic training for PWPs: Undergraduate Practice Certificate and a Postgraduate Certificate. Both these programmes are accredited by the British Psychological Society.
Typically, for the undergraduate route you will have previously studied to Level 5, however, those with Level 3 or Level 4 study may be considered. If you have studied at Level 3 or Level 4 you will need to be able to demonstrate your ability to work at Level 5 by completing an academic task set by the university, which will be reviewed by the Programme Team. For information regarding the levels of study, please see https://www.gov.uk/what-different-qualification-levels-mean/list-of-qualification-levels ;
