About the role

Development of an e-commerce project for a client that is one of the largest companies in this sector in the country.

Our expectations

  • Proven track record of leading development teams, including people management, project execution, and predictable delivery.
  • Min. 5 years of experience as Java Developer
  • Knowledge and experience with Java Ecosystem - Java, Kotlin, Groovy, Spring Framework, and other languages - Python, Go
  • Experience with Apache Spark, Apache Hadoop , Apache Mesos and TensorFlow
  • Knowledge of engineering practices & methodologies: TDD, DDD, CI/CD, Pair Programming
  • Strong sense of ownership: full accountability for outcomes, quality, and system reliability.
  • Strong hands-on engineering background with the ability to co-drive technical decisions, conduct code reviews, and design system architecture.
  • Commitment to engineering excellence (clean code, testing, code reviews, CI/CD, and production readiness).
  • Participation in product discovery as a key technical partner.
  • Ability to translate business goals into a clear scope of work, priorities, and actionable roadmaps.
  • Experience working in a cross-functional environment (Product, UX, Business).
  • Proven track record in mobile app development
  • Documented experience in AI-driven projects and OKR frameworks
  • Experience in e-commerce, marketplaces, or consumer-facing platforms
  • Excellent communication skills.
  • Advanced communication skillis both in Polish and English (at least B2 level).
  • Open to hybrid work from the client's Warsaw office.

Main responsibilities

  • Lead a cross-functional development team, drive architectural decisions, conduct code reviews, and maintain engineering excellence across mobile, e-commerce, or consumer-facing platforms.
  • Partner with Product, UX, and Business stakeholders during product discovery to translate strategic business goals and OKRs into actionable technical roadmaps and AI-driven solutions.
  • Take full accountability for end-to-end project delivery, quality, and system reliability while effectively managing team members and working in a hybrid setup from the client's Warsaw office.
