Position Summary:

The Technician is responsible for performing high‑quality installation, service, and repair work at client locations while upholding company standards for safety, professionalism, and customer satisfaction. This role requires strong technical skills, the ability to adapt to changing field conditions, and consistent communication with the Lead Technician to ensure projects are completed accurately and efficiently. The Technician represents the company on job sites and must demonstrate reliability, craftsmanship, and adherence to core values in every interaction.

 

Essential functions of the position:

  • Reviews daily service dispatch for clarity, tools, parts, and scope of work.
  • Drives Company vehicle or own vehicle to client location as needed to perform work.
  • Communicates problem, cost and timeframe for solution to Lead Technician.
  • Reacts to varying project/field conditions and changes in the scope of work, makes decisions to solve problems.
  • Follows all Lead Technician's worksite rules and treats client's facility respectfully.
  • Follows all safety procedures and reports any safety issues promptly.
  • Maintains knowledge of assigned product lines, operational procedures, and best practices.
  • Delivers and installs non-furniture punch items.
  • Performs additional duties as assigned by Lead Technician.
  • Other Duties as assigned

Supervisory Responsibilities:

Travel Responsibilities:

  • This position requires daily travel to/from Warehouse and jobsites.
  • Must have own reliable transportation to report to and from work daily.

 

Required Education and Experience:
  • High School Diploma
  • 5+ years of experience in installation and repair of office furniture.

 

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

  • Advanced technical skills relating to furniture repair, problem analysis, material handling equipment, and furniture handling techniques.
  • Proficiency in Outlook and Teams Communication.
