About the Role
Join our dedicated team in Wirral as a Qualified Social Worker (QSW) within the Permanence Team, where you will play a critical role in ensuring the best outcomes for children and families in need. This is an exciting opportunity to work on a locum basis at a competitive rate of £39 per hour (Umbrella). You will be responsible for assessing and managing cases, developing and implementing care plans, and ensuring compliance with statutory requirements.
Your key responsibilities will include:
Conducting thorough assessments and reviews of children and families.
Working collaboratively with multi-agency teams to promote positive outcomes.
Managing a varied caseload, ensuring timely and effective interventions.
Preparing and presenting reports for court proceedings.
Providing support and guidance to foster carers and adoptive families.
To be considered for this role, you must possess essential qualifications and skills, including:
A recognized social work qualification (e.g., BA/MA in Social Work).
Current registration with Social Work England.
Demonstrable experience in child protection and permanence planning.
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work effectively under pressure and manage competing priorities.
