About the role:
We are seeking a motivated and passionate Maths Teacher to join a supportive secondary school in the Doncaster area from September 2026. This is a part-time, long-term supply position with an initial temporary contract and the opportunity to secure a permanent role following a successful three-month period (Optional). Full time applications will also be consider for the right candidate.
Key Responsibilities:
- Plan and deliver high-quality Maths lessons across Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Assess, monitor and track student progress, implementing interventions where required.
- Create an inclusive and engaging classroom environment that promotes learning and achievement.
- Differentiate teaching and learning activities to meet the needs of all students.
- Contribute to departmental initiatives and support the wider life of the school.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Degree in Mathematics or a related subject.
- Proven experience of teaching Mathematics within a secondary school setting.
- Strong knowledge of the National Curriculum and Maths specifications at Key Stages 3 and 4.
- Ability to plan, deliver and assess engaging lessons that drive student progress and attainment.
- Excellent classroom management and behaviour management skills.
- Two education or school-based references.
- Enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
- Strong communication, organisational and interpersonal skills.
- Suitable for both Early Career Teachers (ECTs) and experienced teachers.
