Key Responsibilities of the CST

• Perform a range of surgical procedures including tonsillectomy/adenoidectomy, appendectomy, cholecystectomy, and more
• Ensure aseptic technique and compliance with safety protocols
• Manage specimen handling and labeling
• Participate in universal protocol (time out) procedures
• Assist in gynecologic robotic surgery and joint replacements

Requirements of the CST

• BLS certification
• CST or NBSTSA certification
• Minimum of 1 year of recent experience in required surgical competencies
