Commercial Litigation Solicitor

Abacus is hiring a Commercial Litigation Solicitor (with a Construction focus) at junior to mid-level PQE to join a highly reputable firm with a highly regarded Disputes team. This is an excellent opportunity to work on complex, high-value disputes for major corporates, developers, contractors, insurers, and public sector clients. The Role: You will advise on a broad range of commercial disputes, with a particular emphasis on construction and engineering matters, including: Construction and engineering disputes (TCC matters) Adjudications, arbitrations, and High Court litigation Disputes arising from JCT, NEC, and bespoke construction contracts Professional negligence claims involving construction professionals Delay, disruption, and defects claims General commercial litigation matters. You will work closely with partners on significant cases while gaining increasing responsibility for managing matters and client relationships. About You: A Qualified Solicitor with circa typically 1 to 5 years PQE in Commercial Litigation along with: Experience in construction-related disputes or a strong interest in specialising Familiarity with litigation procedure and dispute resolution processes Excellent drafting, analytical, and advocacy preparation skills Strong organisational ability and attention to detail Ability to work both independently and as part of a team Direct experience of adjudication and/or arbitration proceedings Technical understanding of construction projects or industry background Dual qualification is a bonus.
