IT Project Manager

<strong>Role: IT Project Manager</strong><br><strong>Location: Birmingham or Manchester (3 days per week on-site, inclusive of client visits)</strong><br><strong>Salary: £50,000 – £60,000</strong><br>Network IT are working with a growing and customer-focused organisation to recruit an experienced <strong>Project Manager</strong>. This is an exciting opportunity to deliver a broad range of IT projects across multiple technologies, supporting enterprise clients and driving successful outcomes in a fast-paced environment.<br>This role requires a confident, customer-focused professional who can manage a varied portfolio of projects while building strong relationships with senior stakeholders, including CIOs and IT Directors.<br><strong>Role Overview</strong><br>As a <strong>Project Manager</strong>, you will be responsible for delivering a diverse portfolio of IT projects, ranging from small and medium initiatives through to large-scale enterprise programmes.<br>You will work across a wide range of technology areas, including <strong>IT Managed Services, Unified Communications, Networking (WAN/LAN), Cloud, AI, and Automation</strong>, while maintaining a strong focus on customer satisfaction and delivery excellence.<br>This role requires a highly organised and proactive individual who can confidently manage competing priorities, balance <strong>time, cost, quality, and urgency</strong>, and consistently provide assurance to stakeholders. You will be a <strong>customer-first communicator</strong>, comfortable presenting at senior levels, and someone who actively contributes ideas to improve delivery processes and outcomes.<br><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong><ul><li>Manage <strong>either multiple small/medium projects or large enterprise-scale programmes (3–4 concurrently)</strong></li><li>Deliver end-to-end IT projects across <strong>Managed Services, Telecoms, Networking (WAN/LAN), Cloud, AI, and Automation</strong></li><li>Build strong stakeholder relationships, confidently engaging with <strong>CIOs and IT Directors</strong></li><li>Provide clear, structured updates on <strong>progress, risks, and outcomes</strong>, instilling confidence in delivery</li><li>Ensure projects meet <strong>time, cost, quality, and urgency</strong> expectations</li><li>Act as a <strong>customer-first lead</strong>, ensuring high levels of service and satisfaction</li><li>Lead delivery using <strong>Agile and/or Waterfall methodologies</strong> with strong governance and controls</li><li>Take ownership of delivery, offering reassurance and proactive support to stakeholders</li><li>Identify and drive <strong>continuous improvement opportunities</strong></li><li>Effectively manage <strong>multiple priorities</strong> with strong organisation and attention to detail</li></ul><strong>Essential Skills & Experience</strong><br><ul><li>Proven experience delivering <strong>IT projects as a Project Manager</strong></li><li><strong>PRINCE2 certified (essential)</strong></li><li>Experience across: <strong>Managed Services, Telecoms, Networking (WAN/LAN), Cloud, AI/Automation</strong></li><li>Strong track record managing <strong>multiple concurrent projects and complex portfolios</strong></li><li>Confident stakeholder engagement, including <strong>CIO/IT Director-level communication</strong></li><li>Experience working within <strong>Agile and/or Waterfall environments</strong></li><li>Excellent communication skills with the ability to <strong>influence and build trust</strong></li><li>Strong understanding of <strong>project governance, delivery frameworks, and controls</strong></li><li>Ability to balance <strong>time, cost, quality, and urgency</strong> in delivery</li><li>Proactive, driven, and <strong>continuous improvement-focused mindset</strong></li><li>Ability to provide <strong>confidence and assurance to stakeholders</strong> through consistent delivery</li></ul>
