We are currently looking for a Maintenance Operative to join a modern Build-to-Rent (BTR) development in Reading. This is a great opportunity to be part of a professional team responsible for maintaining high-quality residential facilities.
You will play a key role in ensuring the building is well-maintained, safe, and presented to a high standard for residents.
Your Responsibilities
n- Carry out routine inspections and identify fabric issues
- Perform repairs to doors, windows, walls, ceilings, and flooring
- Respond to maintenance requests and emergencies in a timely manner
- Complete general repairs using materials such as wood, metal, and plastics
- Undertake painting, decorating, and general DIY tasks
- Maintain a high standard of finish throughout the development
- Identify and resolve safety hazards
- Ensure compliance with health & safety regulations including COSHH, working at height, and risk assessments
- Record maintenance activities, inspections, and repairs
- Monitor and track materials usage
- Work closely with team members, management, and residents
- Provide updates on maintenance issues and building condition
- Liaise with contractors where required

Your Requirements
n- Experience within BTR, PBSA, residential, or hotel environments
- Proven experience in building/fabric maintenance
- Good understanding of health & safety procedures (COSHH, risk assessments, working at height)
- Strong organisational skills and ability to work independently
- Good communication and customer service skills
