<p><strong>Building Control SAG Officer needed in Doncaster Paying £20.68 per hr ref 000A EDF6 / 1</strong></p>
<p><strong>Full time hours on a temporary basis</strong></p>
</p>
<p><strong><strong>Key Responsibilities</strong></strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Provide specialist advice to the <strong>Safety Advisory Group (SAG)</strong> on public events, temporary structures, and associated building regulation requirements.</li>
<li>Review technical plans, risk assessments, method statements, and construction proposals to ensure full compliance with relevant legislation.</li>
<li>Advise event organisers, contractors, and stakeholders on safety standards, structural integrity, fire safety, access, egress, and crowd management considerations.</li>
<li>Conduct site inspections of events, venues, and temporary structures, identifying hazards and recommending corrective actions.</li>
<li>Ensure all activities meet statutory duties under building regulations, health and safety legislation, and public safety guidance.</li>
<li>Collaborate with partners including Emergency Services, Highways, Environmental Health, Licensing, and other internal and external agencies.</li>
<li>Prepare reports, compliance documentation, and recommendations for SAG meetings.</li>
<li>Support the coordination, monitoring, and approval process for major events within the area.</li>
<li>Take part in enforcement activities where safety or compliance concerns arise.</li>
