An excellent opportunity has arisen for an experienced Senior Procurement Specialist to join a large-scale, high-profile infrastructure programme.

This role offers the chance to work on complex, high-value projects within a forward-thinking environment, where procurement plays a key strategic role in delivery and long-term outcomes.

As a Senior Procurement Specialist, you will take ownership of a pipeline of procurement projects, managing them from planning through to delivery and post-award performance.

You will operate at both a strategic and operational level, ensuring procurement activity is commercially effective, compliant, and aligned with wider programme objectives.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Leading end-to-end procurement activity across complex, high-value projects
  • Managing supplier selection, tender processes, and commercial negotiations
  • Developing and implementing procurement and category strategies
  • Building strong relationships with internal stakeholders and external suppliers
  • Using market intelligence and data to inform decision-making and manage risk
  • Monitoring contract performance and identifying opportunities for improvement
  • Ensuring compliance with procurement legislation and governance frameworks
  • Supporting and mentoring colleagues within the procurement function

 

       About You

  • Proven experience within procurement in infrastructure, construction, or large-scale programmes
  • Strong track record of delivering procurement strategies and managing complex projects
  • Excellent commercial awareness and negotiation skills
  • Confident stakeholder management and communication skills
  • Knowledge of Procurement Act 2023 / PCR2015
  • Experience with NEC4 contracts (desirable)
  • CIPS Level 5 (MCIPS preferred) or relevant degree
