About the Role
About the role: We are seeking a nurturing and enthusiastic EYFS Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Rishton from October half term 2026 . This is a full-time, temporary position to cover a maternity leave , teaching within the Early Years Foundation Stage and supporting children as they develop the skills, confidence and curiosity needed for a successful start to their education. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the Early Years Foundation Stage framework. Foster a safe, stimulating and nurturing classroom environment that supports children’s development. Assess, monitor and record pupil progress to inform planning and next steps in learning. Work closely with parents, carers and colleagues to support children’s academic, social and emotional development. Maintain high standards of behaviour, safeguarding and classroom practice. Pre-requisites: Relevant teaching qualifications, including Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Proven experience of teaching within an EYFS setting. Strong knowledge of the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum and child development. Two education or school-based references.
