We are seeking an Entry-Level Mechanic for assignment in West Melbourne, Florida. The selected candidate will assist in the operations and maintenance of a water/wastewater treatment facility.


Hours are Monday - Friday, 7:00am - 3:30pm


** This position has a pay rate up to $24/hr **
** This position may have an on-call schedule **


Responsibilities
- Operate equipment for the rehabilitation of manholes and maintenance of the collection system
- Responds to and resolves customer complaints
- Performs record keeping/data entry
- Record daily reading of equipment and processes
- Cleans and maintains facilities buildings and grounds
- Repairs yards following maintenance procedures
- Monitors inventory of parts supplies and chemicals/degreaser
- Assists in the inspection processes of sewer lines and manholes
- Assist in the maintenance and operations of the CCTV inspection system
- Occasionally assists in the location of utility lines
- Assist in asset management and maintenance programs
- Repair and maintain sewer lines, manholes and lift stations
- Responds to emergency situations


Qualifications
- High School Diploma or GED
- A valid Drivers License
- Familiarity with hand and power tools
- Maintenance skills with valves, pumps, motors, etc. is highly preferred
