About the Role
A large integrated academic health system in Michigan is seeking a board-eligible/board-certified Transplant Hepatologist to join their established and collaborative team. This is an excellent opportunity to partner with an experienced transplant hepatologist within a dynamic and collegial group of 19 physicians and 11 advanced practice providers dedicated to providing comprehensive gastroenterology care.<br><br>Hospital Highlights:<br>• 1000-bed Flagship hospital<br>• Level 1 trauma center<br>• Strong Research ties with local research institute<br>• Specialized programs in IBD, Interventional Endoscopy, and Hepatology.<br><br>Position Highlights:<br>• Joining a team of 19 physicians and 22 APPs in a high volume gastroenterology practice<br>• Hybrid role: Mix of 85% outpatient and 15% inpatient work- IP coverage is 1:7 weeks <br>• Transplant responsibilities: Pre- and post-liver transplant patient care and participation in weekly Transplant Selection Meetings<br>• Multidisciplinary support from the Inflammatory Bowel Disease and Interventional Endoscopy programs.<br>• Collaborative, team-based approach with access to other subspecialists.<br>• Opportunity to train and mentor residents and students.
