My favourite thing about my work is the young people themselves. Children and young people love learning first aid because it is so interactive and hands on. What keeps you motivated? I really value having a meaningful impact on their lives by providing young people with fundamental skills to save a life. I am pleasantly surprised by how quickly they grasp our educational content, showing that they have the confidence and willingness to act in a crisis. See what it's like to work in... Refugee services Our refugee services offer support to vulnerable refugees and asylum seekers. We provide a range of courses and training opportunities to further your development Maternity, paternity, adoption, shared parental and careers leave – After at least 52 weeks of continuous service staff are entitled to enhanced maternity, adoption, and shared parental pay - that's 6 weeks’ full pay, 12 weeks at 50% pay plus statutory pay (SMP/SAP/SPP), and 21 weeks at either 50% pay or statutory pay, whichever is greater. Parents are also entitled to up to 18 weeks of unpaid ordinary parental leave per child and carers may take up to five days of paid leave annually, regardless of service length.
