About the Role
<strong>Job Summary</strong><br />
The Guidewire Integration Developer is responsible for designing developing and implementing seamless integrations between Guidewire InsuranceSuite PolicyCenter and other internal and external systems<br />
This role involves working with APIs web services and middleware to ensure efficient and scalable data exchange aligned with business and technical requirements<br />
<br />
<strong>Key Responsibilities</strong>
<ul>
<li>Integration Development</li>
<li>Design and implement integrations between Guidewire InsuranceSuite and third party applications such as payment systems data warehouses and document management systems</li>
<li>Develop custom integration components using Guidewire Cloud APIs REST Api IG app and messaging frameworks which include APP Events</li>
<li>Configure messaging patterns such as point-to-point pub sub and event driven integrations</li>
</ul>
<strong>Middleware and System Design</strong>
<ul>
<li>Work with middleware platforms such as MuleSoft Apache Camel or similar technologies to manage data exchange</li>
<li>Design robust and reusable integration templates that support enterprise architecture</li>
<li>Optimize integration pipelines for performance scalability and error handling</li>
</ul>
<strong>Collaboration with Teams</strong>
<ul>
<li>Collaborate with business analysts and architects to understand integration requirements and translate them into technical designs</li>
<li>Coordinate with development teams and QA engineers to ensure smooth data flow between systems</li>
<li>Work closely with stakeholders during user acceptance testing UAT to resolve issues and refine integrations</li>
</ul>
<strong>Data Mapping and Transformation</strong>
<ul>
<li>Define data mapping rules and transformations to ensure seamless interoperability between systems</li>
<li>Handle data enrichment and validation processes within integration components</li>
</ul>
<strong>System Monitoring and Troubleshooting</strong>
<ul>
<li>Monitor the performance of integrations and resolve any issues or bottlenecks</li>
<li>Troubleshoot and debug integration failures and errors in production environments</li>
<li>Ensure error logging and notification mechanisms are in place</li>
</ul>
<strong>Documentation and Standards</strong>
<ul>
<li>Maintain comprehensive documentation for all integrations including design specifications API details and data flow diagrams</li>
<li>Adhere to development standards coding guidelines and best practices in integration design</li>
<li>Conduct knowledge sharing sessions and mentor junior developers on integration practices</li>
</ul>
<strong>Upgrades and Enhancements</strong>
<ul>
<li>Assist in upgrading Guidewire modules and ensure compatibility with existing integrations</li>
<li>Implement enhancements to improve integration efficiency and meet evolving business needs</li>
</ul>
<strong>Qualifications</strong><br />
<strong>Education</strong>
<ul>
<li>Bachelors degree in Computer Science Information Technology or a related field</li>
</ul>
<strong>Experience</strong>
<ul>
<li>3 years of experience in developing integrations within Guidewire InsuranceSuite focusing on PolicyCenter</li>
<li>Proven expertise in building and deploying enterprise scale integrations</li>
</ul>
<strong>Technical Skills</strong>
<ul>
<li>Proficiency in Java Gosu and Guidewire APIs</li>
<li>Strong experience with RESTFul services IG App Cloud API AppEvents and Apache Camel</li>
<li>Solid understanding of Guidewire data models plugins and messaging mechanisms</li>
<li>Handson experience with XML JSON and data transformation tools</li>
<li>Proficiency in SQL and working with relational databases like Oracle or SQL Server</li>
<li>Familiarity with DevOps tools and processes including CICD pipelines and version control systems eg Git</li>
</ul>
<strong>Soft Skills</strong>

<li>Excellent communication and collaboration abilities to engage with both technical and business stakeholders</li>
