About the role:
Justteachers is delighted to be recruiting for a versatile and enthusiastic Key Stage 2 Teacher to support a welcoming primary school in Baildon. This is a full-time position starting in September 2026 for the entire academic year, providing PPA cover across a range of KS2 year groups.
This is an excellent opportunity for a flexible and confident teacher who enjoys working with different classes and year groups while delivering engaging lessons that maintain continuity in learning and uphold high standards across the school.
As a Key Stage 2 PPA Cover Teacher, you will be responsible for delivering pre-planned lessons across Years 3 to 6, ensuring pupils remain engaged and make continued progress during teachers’ planning, preparation, and assessment time.
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver high-quality lessons across Key Stage 2 year groups.
- Provide effective PPA cover in line with school planning and expectations.
- Create a positive and engaging learning environment for all pupils.
- Manage classroom behaviour in line with school policies.
- Adapt teaching approaches to meet the needs of different classes and learners.
- Assess and provide feedback on pupil learning where required.
- Work collaboratively with class teachers and support staff to ensure continuity of learning.
- Contribute positively to the wider life of the school.
Pre-requisites:
- Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or an equivalent recognised teaching qualification.
- Experience teaching within Key Stage 2.
- Strong knowledge of the primary curriculum.
- The ability to confidently teach across multiple year groups.
- Excellent classroom and behaviour management skills.
- Strong organisational and communication skills.
- A flexible and adaptable approach to teaching.
- A commitment to supporting pupil achievement and wellbeing.
- An enhanced DBS on the Update Service or willingness to obtain one.
