Lead Systems Engineer – Test & Validation Focus
Bristol, UK (Hybrid Working – 3 days onsite)
ARCA Resourcing is partnered with a leading global engineering organisation seeking a Lead Systems Engineer to support the development and validation of advanced semiconductor manufacturing equipment.
This is an opportunity to play a key role in complex, high-technology product development programmes, with a particular focus on system integration, testing, verification and product validation across the full engineering lifecycle.
The Role
You will operate at the centre of engineering and product development activities, applying Systems Engineering principles to ensure products are fully validated, compliant and delivered to specification.
Key responsibilities include:
Leading Systems Engineering activities with a strong emphasis on system integration, testing and validation
Defining verification and validation strategies across complex engineering programmes
Translating product requirements into structured test plans, acceptance criteria and validation activities
Supporting system-level testing, troubleshooting and root cause analysis
Applying Systems Engineering tools and methodologies across the full product lifecycle
Working closely with multidisciplinary engineering teams to resolve technical challenges and improve product performance
Supporting customer trials, commissioning and field validation activities
Mentoring and developing Systems Engineers across varying levels of experience
Driving continuous improvement of Systems Engineering and test processes across the wider business
About You
Applicants should possess:
A degree in Systems Engineering or a related engineering discipline
Strong practical Systems Engineering experience within a complex engineering environment
Experience in system integration, verification, validation or test engineering activities
Understanding of structured Systems Engineering methodologies and product lifecycle processes
Experience within regulated or compliance-driven industries
Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
The ability to lead technical activities and drive delivery across cross-functional teams
Experience within semiconductor equipment, advanced manufacturing, aerospace, scientific instrumentation or other highly regulated technology sectors would be advantageous.
