About the Role

<p class="font-claude-response-body break-words whitespace-normal leading-[1.7]">At InterWorks, we help clients make sense of data, AI, and analytics. As an Engagement Manager, you'll combine your technical expertise with strong project leadership to guide clients through data transformation. You'll connect strategy to execution and ideas to outcomes, bringing clarity, collaboration, and craft to every engagement. This role is equal parts architect, advisor, and project manager. You'll help shape solutions, oversee delivery, and ensure that every project we take on reflects the best of InterWorks.</p>
<p><strong>Location Preferences: </strong>We’d love for you to join us from one of our offices in Melbourne or Sydney. </p>
<p><strong>Salary Range:</strong> $100,000 - $150,000 AUD depending on experience and qualifications.</p>
<h2>What You’ll Do</h2>
<ul>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Lead analytics and data projects from start to finish, ensuring outcomes align with client goals</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Serve as the main point of contact for clients, managing expectations, communication, and long-term relationships</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Translate strategy into delivery plans, scoping, scheduling, and coordinating across teams to bring solutions to life</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Provide project management oversight to ensure timelines, budgets, and quality stay on track</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Act as a subject matter expert within projects for your area of focus (BI, data engineering, cloud, or governance)</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Conceptualize, design, and deliver scalable analytics solutions using modern data tools and platforms</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Collaborate with leadership on proposals and pre-sales, shaping scopes of work and delivery approaches</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Support change management and help clients adopt new technologies, processes, and mindsets</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Mentor consultants and engineers, guiding both project work and professional growth</li>
</ul>
<h3><u>What You’ll Need</u></h3>
<ul>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Five or more years of experience delivering analytics or data solutions in a consulting or enterprise environment</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Proven ability to lead complex projects with multiple stakeholders and dependencies</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Strong project management skills — PMP, Agile, or similar certification is a plus</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Hands-on experience with analytics and database tools such as Tableau, Power BI, ThoughtSpot, Snowflake, BigQuery, Redshift, or Databricks</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Familiarity with data orchestration and transformation tools (dbt, Matillion, Fivetran, Alteryx, or Python)</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Comfort with cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud)</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Excellent communication and storytelling skills, from executive briefings to technical discussions</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">Experience with pre-sales processes and scoping project work</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">A track record of bringing clarity to complexity and driving projects to completion</li>
<li class="whitespace-normal break-words pl-2">A collaborative mindset that builds strong partnerships across teams and with clients</li>
</ul>
