About the Role
About the role: We are seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated KS1 Teacher to join a welcoming primary school in Nelson from September 2026 . This is a part-time, temporary position on an ongoing long-term supply basis , teaching Key Stage 1 pupils and delivering engaging lessons that support academic progress and personal development. This friendly and inclusive school is committed to providing a nurturing learning environment, maintaining high standards of achievement, and ensuring every child feels valued and supported. Key Responsibilities: Plan and deliver creative and engaging lessons in line with the Key Stage 1 curriculum. Assess, monitor and record pupil progress to support attainment and development. Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment that promotes effective learning. Work collaboratively with colleagues, parents and support staff to meet the needs of all pupils. Maintain high expectations for behaviour, wellbeing and achievement. Pre-requisites: Relevant teaching qualifications, including Qualified Teacher Status (QTS). Proven experience of teaching within a Key Stage 1 setting. Strong knowledge of the Key Stage 1 curriculum and effective teaching practices. Two education or school-based references.
