About the Role
Location: 100% Remote (Work From Home) Client: Railroad Commission of Texas (RRC) Contract: July 13, 2026 (ASAP) We' re seeking an experienced Systems Analyst with a strong background in GIS, Esri ArcGIS Enterprise, and Azure to support a major modernization initiative at the Railroad Commission of Texas. This role will help lead the migration of ArcGIS Enterprise from on-premises to Azure, move GIS data from Oracle to Azure SQL, and support the development of a new data warehouse. Key Responsibilities: • Support ArcGIS Enterprise modernization and Azure cloud migration • Administer and maintain ArcGIS Enterprise and ArcGIS Online environments • Manage GIS servers, databases, web services, licensing, security, backups, and upgrades • Migrate GIS data from Oracle to Azure SQL and support data warehouse initiatives • Develop technical documentation, architecture diagrams, and SOPs • Partner with infrastructure, cybersecurity, and business teams to deliver enterprise GIS solutions • Troubleshoot production issues, perform root cause analysis, and implement solutions Required Qualifications: • 7+ years administering enterprise GIS environments (ArcGIS Enterprise/Online) • 7+ years supporting GIS infrastructure, security, performance, and user access • 7+ years working with geospatial data management, mapping principles, and quality control • 7+ years creating technical documentation and collaborating with cross-functional teams • 7+ years performing production support and root cause analysis • 3+ years supporting GIS vendor management, licensing, and modernization efforts • Excellent written and verbal communication skills Preferred Qualifications: • Azure, Azure SQL, Azure DevOps • Python, SQL, ArcPy scripting • Data Warehouse, Data Lake, Snowflake, Informatica, Visio • Oil & Gas industry experience • Esri and/or Microsoft Azure certifications • Bachelor' s degree in a related field If you have extensive enterprise GIS experience and are looking for a fully remote opportunity supporting a large-scale cloud modernization effort, we' d love to hear from you.
