<p><strong>Manager, Insolvency &amp; Restructuring</strong></p><p>Quantuma is an independent advisory firm serving the needs of mid-market and corporate companies, as well as their stakeholders. We work alongside accountants, major law practices, private equity houses, lenders and regulators. Our 400-strong team operates from 28 offices across the UK and in Europe, Far East and Caribbean Islands.</p><p>Our Corporate Insolvency &amp; Restructuring team is recognised as the leading, independent business advisory firm providing solutions to both lenders and distressed mid-market and corporate companies.</p><p>An opportunity has arisen for an experienced Corporate Restructuring &amp; Insolvency professional to join our fast-growing Birmingham / West Midlands office and support Managing Directors on a range of Restructuring Advisory and Formal Insolvency engagements.</p><p><strong>What you will be responsible for</strong></p><ul><li><p>Managerial responsibility for building and developing a new team, providing leadership and guidance to staff members in their duties on a diverse portfolio of cases.</p></li><li><p>Managing a wide variety of Restructuring Advisory and Insolvency cases, overseeing work completed by Administrative team members.</p></li><li><p>Appraising the team, engendering a positive attitude to work and professional development and developing staff to maximise their potential.</p></li><li><p>Managing the completion of all statutory tasks and formalities in accordance with set deadlines. Maintaining an effective diary system in this respect.</p></li><li><p>Developing and training the team, providing advice, guidance and training on allocated tasks to ensure structured development of person concerned.</p></li><li><p>Setting goals and targets for staff and ensuring they are achieved, also review progress of their cases on a regular basis.</p></li><li><p>Maximising asset realisations and ensuring recoveries are pursued in a pro-active and cost-effective way.</p></li><li><p>Responsible for team WIP management.</p></li><li><p>Reviewing directors’ disqualification reports prepared by team members and assist with more complex D1 returns.</p></li><li><p>Chairing creditors’ meetings when appropriate.</p></li><li><p>Overseeing effective use of IPS and Case diaries and make recommendations where appropriate.</p></li><li><p>Liaising with and instruct professional agents and solicitors.</p></li><li><p>Overseeing production of high-quality reports and letters.</p></li><li><p>Monitoring fees to ensure they are drawn regularly, and in accordance with resolutions passed by creditors.</p></li><li><p>Promoting, cascading and encouraging statutory compliance and current legislation, best practice and Quantuma policies and procedures.</p></li><li><p>Developing personal contacts with existing work providers and other professionals within the Recovery / Insolvency market.</p></li><li><p>Keeping up to date with technical developments and recognising their impact on the client base.</p></li><li><p>Actively promoting and cascades ‘best practice’ in all spheres of role.</p></li><li><p>Partaking in and support marketing and business development initiatives with relevant technical commentary and content.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Reporting, relationships and management</strong></p><ul><li><p>Managing, coaching, and delegating work to Trainees, Administrators, Senior Administrators and Assistant Managers.</p></li><li><p>Assisting with complex cases and responding to client and director queries.</p></li><li><p>Managing referrer and client relationships and liaison with clients to ensure completion of assignments is in line with planned timescales.</p></li></ul><p><strong>The qualifications and experience you will need</strong></p><ul><li><p>CPI qualified.</p></li><li><p>Studying towards or JIEB qualified.</p></li><li><p>Gained the necessary experience within Recovery.</p></li><li><p>Have proven technical knowledge of different types of insolvency cases, comprising of, but not limited to, ADMs, CVLs, CWUs, CVAs.</p></li><li><p>Professionally qualified ACA / ACCA is beneficial but not essential.</p></li></ul><p><strong>Technical skill levels that you will need</strong></p><ul><li><p>Excellent compliance skills</p></li><li><p>Level of knowledge to train team in more advanced and effective use of IT including Excel, Word, Outlook, Virtual Cabinet and IPS.</p></li><li><p>Be acknowledged as being the person with particular interest and knowledge in at least one specialist technical area.</p></li><li><p>Maintains &amp; promotes high professional standards of conduct and practice and demonstrates commitment to firms values, initiatives and direction.</p></li><li><p>Applies knowledge of Quantuma, its values, industry, markets and core client base, highlighting potential business opportunities – building commercial awareness and understanding the firms wider services &amp; offerings.</p></li><li><p>Able to organise and manage time efficiently and effectively – managing own time and costs in addition to overseeing the team.</p></li><li><p>Builds a network of contacts / referrers internally and externally.</p></li><li><p>Aware of relevant financial targets and constraints and contributes to achieving these, keeping line manager informed of progress.</p></li><li><p>Converts options into recommendations and resolutions.</p></li><li><p>Developing presentation and technical training skills.</p></li><li><p>Promotes need for continuous learning and considers development of specialist areas of knowledge.</p></li></ul><p>As well as being a great place to work, we offer our employees a range of benefits including:</p><ul><li><p>Hybrid working (2 or 3 office days)</p></li><li><p>Healthcare cash plan</p></li><li><p>Life assurance</p></li><li><p>An Employee Assistance Programme (EAP). <em>Our EAP is a free and confidential employee benefit designed to help deal with issues that could be affecting general wellbeing.</em></p></li><li><p>Cycle To Work Scheme</p></li><li><p>Eye Care</p></li><li><p>Employee incentives, discounts and perks.</p></li><li><p>Refer-a-Friend incentive - <em>We hope you enjoy working here so much, you recommend us to your friends and family, you can earn up to £3,000.00 for referring us.</em></p></li></ul>
