About the Role
Position Overview
The OST Training and Communications team delivers role-specific learning experiences to more than 8,000 team members and leaders across Grainger’s Fulfillment Network, building the capabilities required for operational excellence and workforce readiness at scale.
This role helps us answer one key question: Is our training working and how do we know?
As the Sr. Training Measurement & Systems Analyst, you’ll own how we measure training effectiveness and ensure our learning platforms and reporting gives operational team members clear, useful insights.
This is not a traditional training role. It focuses on data and systems, turning learning into something we can measure and act on while bringing clarity to how training impacts the network.
What you’ll do:
Define how we measure training effectiveness beyond completions
Build and improve training dashboards and reporting that leaders can actually use
Turn learning and operational data into clear, practical insights
Partner with operations, HR, and tech teams to improve data accuracy and reporting
Support and improve learning platforms and tools used for tracking and delivery
Simplify and standardize reporting processes to reduce manual work
Identify and close gaps in current data, reporting, or systems and work across teams
Prioritize and manage reporting requests, focusing on what adds the most value
Validate and troubleshoot training data issues to ensure accuracy and consistency across systems
Translate complex training data into clear takeaways that non-technical stakeholders can understand
What we’re looking for:
Experience working with data, dashboards, and reporting tools (Power BI, Tableau, SQL, Excel, etc.)
Ability to connect data to real outcomes, not just activity metrics
Experience working with or improving systems or platforms (LMS, HR systems, reporting tools, etc.)
Comfortable working across teams and influencing decisions without authority
Someone who looks for ways to simplify, improve, and scale how things work
Required
Bachelor’s degree in business, analytics, human resources, learning, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
3+ years of experience in learning measurement, analytics, learning technology, process improvement, or related roles.
Strong analytical skills with demonstrated experience interpreting data and translating insights into recommendations.
Experience working with learning platforms, reporting tools, and data sources.
Proficiency with tools such as SQL, Excel, Access, SharePoint, or similar technologies.
Proven ability to manage projects end-to-end and communicate clearly with diverse stakeholders.
Strong collaboration skills across HR, COEs, technology partners, and vendors.
