Laboratory Technician – Quality Control$26/hr Benefits Offered + PTO + Holiday pay Shift: Tues – Sat   3P – 11P  Will train on the day shift, 7A – 3P, for the first couple of weeks    Sirius Staffing is seeking a detail-oriented and safety-conscious Laboratory Technician to join our production team. In this role, you will perform quality control testing, chemical and physical analyses, and maintain accurate laboratory records in a fast-paced industrial environment. ResponsibilitiesPerform Quality Control grabs every four hours and on an as-needed basisPrepare and perform composite analysesPerform chemical analytical and physical testing using advanced instrumentation and physical testing methodsAssist with shipping samples to customers and coordinating additional testingCommunicate sample analysis progress and results to Production SupervisorsMaintain accurate and complete laboratory recordsTroubleshoot issues in assigned work areas and communicate equipment or personnel downtime to the SupervisorMaintain a clean, organized work environmentWork safely at all times; report unsafe conditions to the supervisor and wear all required PPE (safety glasses, steel-toe boots, hard hat, respirator, earplugs, etc.)Complete other duties as assigned by the Supervisor, Plant Manager, and/or Production Department Head Requirements Education & ExperienceMinimum high school diploma or GED required; some higher education or secondary science degree preferredMinimum 6 months of industrial laboratory, manufacturing, or production experience preferredExcellent verbal and written communication skillsProficient in Microsoft Office SuiteAbility to read and comprehend work and safety instructionsCompetency in basic math and equations CompetenciesProfessional maturity, responsibility, and sound judgmentStrong interpersonal and written communication skillsCollaborative team player with a positive, energetic attitudeFlexible and adaptable to changing environments and prioritiesStrong problem-solving and attention to detailHigh standard of integrity, quality, and accountabilityOrganized, efficient, and able to prioritize tasks effectively Physical RequirementsMust be able to stand and walk for sustained periods of timeClimbing stairs, ladders, ramps, and scaffolding using hands and feetFrequently bending, crouching, and maintaining body equilibrium on narrow or slippery surfacesLifting, carrying, pushing, pulling, or otherwise moving objects up to 50 lbs occasionallyRepetitive use of wrists, hands, and fingersManual dexterity is sufficient to handle items and perceive attributes of objects and materialsVisual requirements include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focusMust be able to hear detailed oral communication and make fine sound discriminationsMust be able to wear and work in a respiratorModerate physical activity of a primarily production/technical nature Sirius Staffing is an equal-opportunity employer.
