Production Operative Nights

Job Title: Night Shift Machine Operator / Packer
Location: Middleton, Greater Manchester
Hours: Monday to Thursday, 6:00 PM – 6:00 AM (30-minute unpaid break)
Type: Temporary to Permanent
Industry: Manufacturing / Production (Textiles for Medical Use)

About the Role:
Our client, a well-established manufacturer of medical-grade textile products — including tissues and clinical wipes — is seeking reliable and experienced Machine Operators/Packers to join their night shift team at their Middleton site.

You will be responsible for a variety of tasks, including preparing, packing, and handling finished goods, as well as supporting general warehouse operations. This role involves repetitive lifting and standing for extended periods, so candidates must be physically fit and comfortable with manual work.

Key Responsibilities:

• Operate production machinery safely and efficiently

• Pack and label finished products accurately

• Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the work area

• Support general warehouse duties as required

• Adhere to all health and safety procedures

Requirements:

• Previous experience in a manufacturing or production environment is essential

• Ability to stand for long periods and carry out repetitive lifting tasks

• Good communication skills and attention to detail

• Reliability, punctuality, and a strong work ethic

• Must be able to provide two references
