<h2>Telecommunications / Low Voltage Cable Technician (Entry Level)</h2><h3>Overview</h3><p>This is a great opportunity for entry-level technicians looking to build hands-on experience on a large construction site. Technicians will work alongside experienced professionals performing structured cabling and security system installations in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. Candidates with a strong work ethic, positive attitude, and willingness to learn are encouraged to apply.</p><hr /><h3>Scope of Work</h3><p>Work to be performed includes:</p><ul><li>Cable pulling, termination, and splicing of <strong>Fiber, Cat5, and Cat6</strong></li><li><strong>Security system installations</strong>, including <em>Access Control</em> and <em>Camera systems</em></li><li>Assisting with cable pulling and terminating <strong>keystone-style jacks</strong> on a large construction site</li></ul><hr /><h3>Key Responsibilities</h3><p>The responsibilities of a Cable Technician include:</p><ul><li>Pulling, terminating, and testing <strong>Cat5/Cat6 and fiber optic cables</strong></li><li>Installing cabling infrastructure such as <strong>racks and cabinets</strong></li><li>Installing <strong>network racks and cabinets</strong> in server rooms</li><li>Reviewing all job documentation for assigned projects, including:<ul><li>Floor plans and equipment locations</li><li>Reflected ceiling plans</li><li>Conduit call-outs</li><li>Wall elevations</li><li>Signal flow diagrams</li><li>Cable pull schedules</li></ul></li></ul><hr /><h3>Physical Requirements</h3><p>This role requires regular physical activity, including standing, climbing, walking, sitting, pushing, pulling, squatting, crawling, and stooping. Technicians must be comfortable:</p><ul><li>Using hands to handle tools and materials</li><li>Typing on a keyboard</li><li>Reaching with hands and arms</li><li>Talking and hearing clearly</li></ul><p>Specific vision abilities include close vision, distance vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. Use of power tools is required.
