About the Role

Location: Medical Center-Prosper Department: Food & Nutrition Services Shift: Second Shift (United States of America) Standard Weekly Hours: 40 Summary: The Nutrition Associate is responsible for greeting newly admitted patients and for distributing room service menus. Ensures that all patients placed on modified diets have the opportunity to place a food order. Obtains patient food preferences, menu choices, and provides related follow-up. Delivers patient meal trays, nourishments/snacks, and floor stock supplies to patient care units. Responsible for ensuring that patients receive correct meals in a timely manner. Education & Experience: Must have a high school diploma or equivalent certificate. Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: Demonstrated competence in a health care setting for at least 6 months preferred. Effective verbal and written communication skills. Effective customer service skills and successful completion of customer service training module. Ability to perform detailed assignments, follow directions, work under pressure, readily adapt to change in routine and work assignments, and relate to patients, families, and inter- and intra-departmental staff. Experience working with computers is preferred. Certification/Licensure: Must have City of Prosper Food Handlers Card prior to employment. Card must be current at all times during employment.
