Manufacturing Tech Assistant

Position Overview

A Pipe Manufacturing Tech Assistant supports technicians in the production, finishing, inspection, and handling of manufactured pipe used in construction and utility systems. This entry-level position assists skilled technicians in the pipe manufacturing process, helping ensure products are produced accurately, safely, and according to quality standards.

This role involves hands-on work in a production or shop environment and requires attention to detail, teamwork, and a strong focus on safety.

Key Responsibilities

Assist with Pipe Production

• 
  Support technicians during the pipe manufacturing process
  
• 
  Help position raw materials and pipe sections during fabrication or forming
  
• 
  Assist with measuring, cutting, and preparing pipe materials for production
  

Support Pipe Finishing and Preparation

• 
  Help grind, smooth, or clean pipe surfaces as needed
  
• 
  Assist with preparing finished pipe sections for inspection or shipment
  
• 
  Ensure pipe components meet size and measurement specifications
  

Operate Basic Tools and Equipment

• 
  Use hand tools and shop equipment such as:
  
  • 
    Pipe cutters
    
  • 
    Grinders
    
  • 
    Drills
    
  • 
    Measuring and marking tools
    

Material Handling

• 
  Load, unload, and move pipe sections, fittings, and materials within the shop or warehouse
  
• 
  Organize raw materials and finished pipe products for production and storage
  

Quality Support

• 
  Assist technicians with basic inspections to identify defects, damage, or irregularities in pipe sections
  
• 
  Help ensure finished products meet quality and production standards
  

Must be over 18.
