About the Role

Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant – Intervention Focus – Lordshill Are you a nurturing and motivated Teaching Assistant with a passion for supporting early learning? Teaching Personnel are working in partnership with a welcoming mainstream primary school in Lordshill who are seeking a dedicated Key Stage 1 Teaching Assistant to support pupils through targeted intervention groups. This is a fantastic opportunity for an experienced KS1 practitioner who understands the importance of strong foundations in reading, writing and numeracy. The successful candidate will play a key role in delivering small group interventions, helping pupils build confidence and close learning gaps in a supportive and engaging environment. The Role: Supporting pupils across Key Stage 1 Delivering small group interventions in phonics, literacy and numeracy Working closely with the class teacher and SENCo to track pupil progress Encouraging participation, independence and positive behaviour Creating a safe and inclusive space where children can thrive The Ideal Candidate Will: Have experience working within a KS1 setting Demonstrate strong phonics knowledge (Read Write Inc, Letters and Sounds or similar) Be confident leading small group sessions Show patience, adaptability and enthusiasm Be committed to helping every child reach their potential This mainstream primary school in Lordshill offers a supportive staff team, strong leadership and a positive learning culture.
