Welder - VR

We are currently recruiting for an experienced Fabricator Welder to join a well-established and forward-thinking organisation within the marine and subsea sector. Based in Fordoun, this is an excellent opportunity to be part of a skilled manufacturing team delivering high-quality engineered solutions for complex offshore and energy projects.

You will be responsible for carrying out a range of fabrication and welding activities in line with company procedures and industry standards. The role requires a strong focus on quality, precision, and safety, producing work to tight tolerances within agreed timeframes.

Overview job description

• Interpret and work from detailed engineering drawings.
• Perform welding in accordance with approved weld procedures and industry standards.
• Carry out fabrication work to close tolerances.
• Deliver consistently high-quality output within set deadlines.
• Accurately complete all required documentation.
• Maintain a clean, organised, and safe working environment.
• Adhere to all Health & Safety procedures and standards at all times.

Applicants to this role require

• Time-served Fabricator/Welder.
• Certified to ASME IX standards (Flux Core/MIG), ideally within structural steel and subsea fabrication.
• Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.
• Reliable, self-motivated, and safety-conscious.
• Able to read and interpret engineering drawings confidently.
• Experienced in fabrication to tight tolerances.
• Capable of working independently with minimal supervision.
• Good understanding of welding to recognised industry standards.
