Information Systems Programmer

<div> <p class="MsoNormal">As a Systems Programmer in Columbus, OH, you will be responsible for creating and troubleshooting customized software solutions for a manufacturing environment. This role involves developing applications to optimize production processes, data collection, reporting, and system integrations. The successful candidate must excel in a fast-paced environment and deliver reliable software solutions while managing critical tasks.</p> <p class="MsoNormal"> <ul type="disc"> <li class="MsoNormal">Design, test, deploy, and maintain tailored software programs for manufacturing operations.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Optimize and manage Microsoft SQL Server databases (SQL Server 2005 or newer).</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Utilize various programming languages and technologies such as Visual Basic, C#, JavaScript, SQL, PHP, .NET, ASP.NET, and HTML for application development and integration.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Implement PLC ladder logic for interacting with industrial controllers and equipment.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Establish data interfaces and connections with ERP/MIS/SCADA systems to ensure accurate and timely data delivery.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Develop user interfaces, dashboards, and reports to support operations, quality control, and management decision-making.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Identify and resolve issues, conduct root cause analysis, and implement effective solutions promptly.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Collaborate with manufacturing stakeholders to gather requirements, document specifications, and translate business needs into technical solutions.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Implement version control, documentation, and standardized development processes for maintainability and scalability.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Provide production support and on-call coverage as needed, working closely with IT and manufacturing teams.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Ensure adherence to security protocols, access controls, and company policies as well as industry standards.</li> </ul> <p class="MsoNormal">Requirements</p> <ul type="disc"> <li class="MsoNormal">A minimum of eight years of experience in software development.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Hands-on experience with Microsoft SQL Server 2005 or later databases.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Proficiency in Visual Basic, C#, JavaScript, SQL, PHP, .NET, ASP.NET, and HTML programming languages.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Knowledge of PLC ladder logic for interfacing with industrial equipment.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to manage critical tasks in a dynamic setting.</li> <li class="MsoNormal">Preferred experience in a manufacturing or industrial environment.</li> </ul> <ul type="disc"> <li class="MsoNormal">Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or related field preferred; relevant work experience will be considered.</li> </ul> </div>
