About the Role
<p>We are working with a fantastic manufacturer in Grove City, OH who is seeking skilled <strong>CNC MACHINISTS (WEEKEND SHIFT)</strong>. This position calls for expertise in 4- and 5- axis milling in a high-mix, low-volume production setting, with a focus on maintaining quality and meeting tight tolerances consistently.</p>
<p><strong>The CNC Machinist (Weekend) will work Friday-Sunday from 7:00am-7:00pm, with initial training on first shift lasting up to one month.</strong></p>
</p>
<p><strong>Responsibilities:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>Operate multiple 4- and 5-axis CNC Horizontal Machining Centers (HMCs), some with automation assistance</li>
<li>Decipher intricate blueprints, GD&T, and customer requirements for unique and short-run production</li>
<li>Load raw materials, secure workpieces, change tools, and adjust offsets for efficient and accurate machining</li>
<li>Make in-process adjustments such as tool wear offsets, work offsets, and minor machine corrections</li>
<li>Inspect finished parts using calipers, micrometers, CMM, and other precision tools</li>
<li>Review CMM reports for dimensional accuracy verification</li>
<li>Complete inspection and production reports to ensure documentation and workflow precision</li>
<li>Troubleshoot machining problems, offsets, and tooling issues to uphold part quality and uptime</li>
<li>Maintain tidy, safe, and organized work areas following shop standards and 5S principles</li>
<li>Participate in continuous improvement efforts to decrease setup time, scrap, and cycle time</li>
<li>Enhance machining processes by suggesting updated tooling, fixturing, and cutting strategies</li>
<li><span>Monitor part production and address issues promptly</span></li>
<li><span>Carry out additional tasks as assigned</span></li>
</ul>
<p><strong>Requirements:</strong></p>
<ul>
<li>3+ years of CNC Machining Experience; preference for 4- and 5-axis HMC experience</li>
<li>Solid grasp of tooling, workholding, and various metals</li>
<li>Proficiency in CNC programming, Fanuc Controls, and G & M codes editing and troubleshooting</li>
<li>Aptitude for interpreting complex blueprints, drawings, and GD&T</li>
<li>Skilled in precision measuring instruments and inspection techniques, including CMMs</li>
